One United Voice for Change
Join us on Friday, June 25th from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Sea-Tac Hilton to hear youth and alumni of foster care and kinship care make recommendations for the 2011 Advocacy Agenda to The Commission for Children in Foster Care. Together we will hear the youth present their best ideas for system reform. Work has been underway throughout the year, but the Summit is ‘decision day”, and your presence will show tremendous support.
Youth in foster care and kinship care, ages 14-24, attend from every corner of the state. It is exciting to see their courage, leadership, and commitment to working on upstream reforms toward building a world-class foster care system. Most important, these recommendations come from first-hand experience and knowledge, making the system better for those who follow.
Thanks to our generous sponsors: Casey Family Programs, Center for Children & Youth Justice, Children’s Administration and the Commission on Children in Foster Care.
